01 · The loop

Only a confirmed burn feeds the snake

A buyback alone doesn't count. Bought-back tokens wait in a cage on the screen. When the burn is confirmed, the cage opens, the snake hunts it down, eats, and grows. For good.

    $SNAKE is bought back. It appears on screen as a caged token. The snake notices, but can't eat it yet.

  2. 2 · Burn confirmed

    The bought-back tokens are burned. Only then does the cage open and the food go live.

  3. 3 · The snake eats

    It hurries over, opens wide and swallows. You can watch the gulp travel down its body.

  4. 4 · It grows and evolves

    Length follows total burned supply. Hit a milestone and it evolves, all the way to 99 segments.

      Where does the burn data come from?

      From the SNAKE 99 engine, which reads buybacks and burns on-chain and feeds them to this page. Each confirmed burn makes the snake eat and grow.

      What's the difference between a buyback and a burn?

      A buyback purchases tokens. A burn permanently destroys them. The snake only eats, and only grows, when a burn is confirmed. Until then a buyback just sits in a cage on the screen.

      Why 99?

      The snake caps at 99 segments. At 99 it becomes OUROBOROS, the snake that eats its own tail. After that it can't get longer, but it keeps ascending.

      Are the stage thresholds final?

      No. They're provisional placeholders that drive the visuals. They aren't tokenomics and they will change.
